Returns policy

Royal Foods strives to provide the best possible service to our customers and has put the appropriate measures in place to ensure all its staff and suppliers are fully aware of and comply with the Consumer Protection Act. We are committed to operate our business in terms of the requirements of the Consumer Protection Act and our returns policy is aligned therewith.

Product will be refunded or exchanged, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, if the product were defective. Please note that it may not be possible to determine the cause immediate of the products being returned and therefore accordingly, Royal Foods reserves the right to refer returned product for technical assessment.

Royal Foods will gladly refund perishable product should customers not be satisfied with the quality thereof, within the product’s expiry date and if it’s in the original packaging. Immediate, upon noticing the product being defective the customer must alert Royal Foods Management either by phone call and/or preferably via email.

At Royal Foods, our approach to credits and returns has remained simple and aimed at unquestionable customer satisfaction. We ask, as part of our cooperative commitment and dedication to improving consumer food safety that our customers work with Royal Foods to comply with the revisions that have been made to this Customer Request for Credit and Returns Policy. Royal Foods will accept returns at time of delivery. After delivery, our credit and return policy is limited within certain guidelines.


OUR PRODUCT RETURN & CREDIT POLICY DOES FIVE THINGS:

  • Ensures product consistency and quality.
  • Reduces product loss.
  • Speeds the processing and ensures accuracy on all requests for credit.
  • Ensures that product is handled in line with Food Safety Regulations.
  • Controls product returns so that any unfit product is channeled correctly.

WHEN YOUR DELIVERY ARRIVES, YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • Your Royal Foods Driver will gladly help you verify that the items delivered agree with your invoice.
  • Should you choose to return any product, your Royal Foods Driver will issue a Return Request.
  • If a product is short on delivery, your Royal Foods Driver will make an adjustment on the invoice.
  • If a product is damaged, your Royal Foods Driver will make an adjustment on your invoice.
  • Once you are satisfied with your order, please sign the invoice.

OUR RETURN POLICY AFTER TIME OF DELIVERY IS LIMITED

An item may be returned, after delivery, only if it meets the important following food safety guidelines:

  • Product have been altered in any way;
  • Packaging: Products are returnable for full credit only when they are in the original package free of markings or damage.
  • There is a health risk attached.
  • Temperature: Chilled items being returned must be stored at between 0°C and 5°C.
  • Time: Make all returns & credit requests within 3 days after delivery.

Perishable items cannot be returned due to the fact that a customer had a change of mind in respect of the particular purchased item, this is due to public and food safety regulations.

The customer will be liable for the costs of returning the product, should it relate to a change of mind purchase.

Refunds will be finalized within 7 business days.
